BenQ releases the E55 clamshell mobile phone in the Taiwan market. The E55 is a 3G phone supporting tri-band GSM and UMTS 2100 3G. It comes with a 2-inch LCD display and a 1-inch external display. There are also 2 megapixel camera, 0.3 megapixel secondary camera, Bluetooth 1.2, 45MB memory and a microSD card slot.

BenQ introduces the new C36 candy-bar style music oriented cellphone. The BenQ C36 has a 2-inch 262k color LCD display with 176×220, a 1.3 megapixel camera, built-in music player, FM tuner and a microSD card slot.
The integrated camera only takes pictures, it can also record AVI movies. C36 measures 108 x 47.2 x 14.2mm and weighs 78g.
